Happy Fall!
Today is the official first day of fall. Depending upon where you live though, it might not feel that way. Here at Birthday Blossoms HQ, the lingering heat of late summer is finally giving in to its inevitable defeat. There is a crisp in the air now, and the trees in the New York City parks are just beginning their annual turning, the verdant bursting of spring and summer transforming into the vibrant palette of fleeting autumnal glory. Every season has its beauties. Autumn boasts fall foliage, of course, but fall flowers are a sight to see as well.
It is hard to pick a favorite season or a favorite flower. In a nod to all the seasons and all the glorious flowers, Birthday Blossoms would like to share this poem with you. Happy Fall!

The crocus, while the day are dark,
Unfolds its saffron sheen:
At April’s touch, the crudest bark
Discovers gems of green.
Then sleep the seasons, full of might;
While slowly swells the pod
And rounds the peach, and in the night
The mushroom bursts the sod.
The Winter falls; the frozen rut
Is bound with silver bars;
The snow-drift heaps against the hut;
And night is pierc’d with stars.
